Jazz Interviews

How this all got started.

For decades, I have had the incredible privilege of chronicling the stories of countless jazz luminaries through my work with the Artists House Foundation, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, and New York University's Selma Geller Fund. This expansive video series has captivated over a million viewers with its intimate glimpses into the lives of jazz's most revered artists.

Now, it is time to take this celebrated project to new heights, broadening its scope to capture the inspired narratives from jazz innovators far beyond the borders of New York City. By documenting the triumphs and tribulations of jazz artists across the country and around the globe, we have the profound opportunity to deepen our collective understanding of this truly American art form.

Through these candid, revealing interviews, the personal journeys of jazz musicians unfold before us - their struggles, their successes, and the singular creative spaces they've carved out for themselves. In bearing witness to their stories, we gain a richer, more profound insight into our own lives as artists and visionaries. By preserving and disseminating these invaluable archives, we ensure that the legacy of jazz will continue to resonate for generations of musicians to come, assisting them on their own paths to creative fulfillment.

This is a pivotal moment - a chance to expand the reach and impact of this acclaimed project, cementing jazz music’s rightful place in the annals of history, culture, and society. Join me as we embark on this extraordinary journey, as we illuminate the human experience at the very heart of this timeless musical tradition.
